Dan is a Managing Director at BCS Consulting with 16 years of financial services consulting experience. He has been involved in SMCR since 2014 and has subsequently supported over 50 financial services firms to implement the regime.
Dan leads the BCS Consulting SMCR and Governance advisory practice, where he oversees a range of SMCR services, including implementation support, assurance reviews, provision of predefined tools and templates, training and eLearning.
He acted as interim head of an SMCR BAU team at a global tier 1 bank, and he has supported many Boards and Senior Managers with the regime and their ability to demonstrate reasonable steps in line with regulatory expectations.

Iain Colquhoun is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Sona Asset Management.
Iain has over 20 years of experience in fund infrastructure, operations, compliance and finance, and has worked for some well known funds in the UK and Europe, including in jurisdictions such as Malta and Monaco. He has held several operational leadership roles and was responsible for developing the compliance and financial infrastructure at Sona. Iain holds a BSc in Business Studies from the University of Wales European Business Management School and is a Chartered Accountant and an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Sona Asset Management is an institutional alternative asset management firm that specialises in investing across the credit spectrum with a primary focus on European markets. The firm was established in 2016 by CIO, John Aylward, and manages capital on behalf of public and corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, insurance companies and family offices.
